The Future Girls Soccer United Executive Committee is searching for one to two exceptional U12 players to receive our first annual FGSU Honors Scholarship. This scholarship covers $1000.00 of the 2025/26 yearly OPDL fees, which can range between $4500-$5500 minimum.

What does the FGSU stand for?
FGSU stands for Focused, Game Changer, Spirited, and Relentless. It’s about being dialled in, having obvious impact, motivating yourself and others while being relentless in everything you do. We’re looking for players who demonstrate these qualities both on and off the field.

How to Apply:
Create a Video Essay: In a 3-5 minute video, tell us about a time you faced a challenge in your athletic journey and how you used overcame it. How did this experience shape you?
Answer the question in your own words and writing: What does being a Future Girl mean to me. The answer should be minimum 50 words and not more than 200 words.
Complete the Application Form: Fill out all required information on the application form (including parental/guardian consent if needed).
Submit Your Application: Send your completed application form, video essay link, and FGSU meaning answer in one email to fgsoccerunited@gmail.com by September 30th, 2024.
Important Notes:
You must be eligible to participate in the OPDL Player Development League and sign with an OPDL club by October 15th. .
You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Selection Process:
A committee will review all applications and select the winners based on the video essay, letter of reference and overall involvement within the FGSU Academy. Winners will be notified by email within 2-3 weeks of the deadline.
