ONTARIO TALENTED PLAYER PATHWAY

How We Teach

All FGSU programs are based on the Ontario Talented Player Pathway and the Long-Term Player Development Model endorsed by Sport Canada and Canada Soccer.

Future Girls programs such as Friday Foundations, Junior Academy, Junior Skills, Senior Skills, Fundamental Development House Leagues, and FGSU Academy cater to girls who fall within these developmentally important age categories in accordance with Ontario Soccer and Canada Soccer guidelines:

4 – 6 YRS

ACTIVE START (U4 – U6)

Girls this age will develop soccer skills along with the opportunity to develop their physical literacy skills such as running, jumping, kicking and changing direction.

FGSU’s Parent and Tot, Tiny Touches, Fundamentals Development House League, Junior Skills and Summer Camp programs all cater to this age group.

FUNDAMENTALS (U7 – U8)

Girls will continue to develop soccer skills and physical coordination with more advanced learning challenges. Players will begin to learn the rules of the game along with positions in a motivating and inspiring fashion.

FGSU’s Fundamentals House League, Junior Skills, Friday Foundations and our Competitive Academy all cater to this age group.

LEARN TO TRAIN (U9 – U12)

Players develop a broader toolbox of technical skills and begin to realize their personal strengths and how they fit into a team playing environment.

FGSU’s Fundamental Development House Leagues, Senior Skills, High Performance Skills Programs, and Summer Camps all cater to this age group.

soccer for life /
active for life (U13+)

Position-specific training becomes a more central aspect of training as well as developing advanced skills while enhancing established ones.

FGSU’s Fundamentals Development House Leagues, Senior Skills, Competitive Academy and High Performance Skills Programs cater to this age group.

FGSU offers 1-on-1 and small group training sessions for competitive players U13 and up (from any club) looking to take their game to new heights.

THE FGSU goal

It is our philosophy to give more Canadian players the opportunity to succeed at the collegiate and international level by offering elite coaching and development opportunities from a young age.

All FGSU High Performance Skills and Competitive Pathway opportunities provide an elite technical environment with the mentorship of an all-female coaching team who can relate to and inspire players as they set out on their soccer careers.

At FGSU, everything we do is with the goal of readying players for the Ontario Talented Player Pathway, which is the road to playing opportunities at the collegiate, provincial, national levels and beyond.

The future is
BRIGHT.
