The Future Girls Soccer Executive Committee is excited to announce the new FGSU Honors Scholarship! The FGSU Honors Scholarship will be awarded annually to a minimum of one and a maximum of 2 U12 players graduating into play in Ontario’s Performance Development League(OPDL), known for it’s top level competition and high performance development training standards.
What is the FGSU Honors Scholarship?
The FGSU Honors Scholarship covers a portion of the full-time OPDL registration cost for the 2025/26 season. It’s designed to recognize players who demonstrate exceptional perseverance, passion, and resilience in pursuing their soccer goals.
Who is eligible?
Any player selected for the U12 FGSU Academy graduating into OPDL play can be considered for the FGSU Honors Scholarship.
How are Winners selected?
The scholarship committee will look for players who exemplify the following traits:
Focused: A desire to improve and dialled in every practice and game
Game Changer: Has obvious practice & game impact
Spirited: Motivating, inspiring, an example for others in on/off field actions
Unstoppable: Determined and relentless
